Our Practice
The oldest dental practice on the
Gold Coast
Our dental practice was originally
established in Griffith Street, Coolangatta during the early 1930's.
Four generations of dentists have since owned and operated our
practice making it the oldest continuously run dental practice on the
Gold Coast.
The
current principal is Dr Paul Smith. Paul graduated from the
University of QLD in 1982. He ran a very successful practice for 15 years in Biloela and moved to Coolangatta in 1999, taking over
from the then principal Dr George Yakimoff in July 2000. George still
enjoys working in our practice part time. Our dental hygienist is Sima
Nowshadi and dental therapist is Renee McDonald.

Our philosophy
The
philosophy of Perfect Style Dental is to encourage and develop complete
and comprehensive dental care. Our goal is to maintain our patients'
oral health at an optimal level. We provide complete and gentle
dental care for all ages. Families are encouraged to bring their
children for familiarisation with our rooms and to learn oral hygiene
procedures.
In
keeping with our philosophy, the dentists regularly attend continuing
education and postgraduate courses to keep pace with technical and
material advances. Our practice utilises state of the art techniques
including digital radiography, CAD CAM (CEREC)
technology and laser procedures. Dr Smith maintains a special interest
in Neuromuscular Dentistry and utilises electromyography and electronic
jaw analysis equipment.

- Tooth decay detecting laser for thorough diagnosis (DIAGNODENT)
- Bite analysis and jaw physiotherapy for the treatment of TMJ pain (MYOTRONICS)
- OZONE therepy for minimally invasive dentistry and the treatment of infections (OZOTOP)

Our future
